Ways On How To Rid Your Apartment Of Things That You Do Not Need

A lot of people just do not like to throw things away. They always seem to think that one day they may just need it and it will be too late if it has already been thrown. But this never seems to be the case. Here are a few tips that I use and it certainly makes for a happier household.

Collecting things always makes a mess and a lot of clutter around the house. This in turn leads to arguments and stress.

A great start would be to collect all of the broken toys and electrical items that you have and store them in a box. Write down the contents and date on the box and then store it away in the garage.

You then proceed to keep this box in your garage for about thirty days. If there is something that you need out of the box then take it out.

After the initial thirty day period is up you can then move the box somewhere out of sight. Again if you really need something from the box then go and get it out.

Once 60 days are up you can then get the box and toss it into the garbage. The chance that you need something after 60 days is very minimal indeed. Obviously this does not include seasonal items.

This process can be done for any item in the house. But you should start with the broken items as these are the ones you tend to hoard on the pretext that you may get them fixed one day.

This system is great for teaching the kids to keep their rooms free from clutter and clean all the time. If you teach them to do this at least once per month with the toys they no longer use, you will be shocked to see how clean their rooms will be all the time.
